Phrasal Verbs: A Simple Way to Sound More Like a Native English Speaker

If you want your English to sound more natural, learning phrasal verbs is a great place to start.

Native English speakers use phrasal verbs every day. Expressions such as give up, find out, look after and run into are common in everyday conversation.

Compare:

“I discovered something interesting.”
“I found out something interesting.”

Both are correct, but the second sounds more natural in everyday spoken English.

The difficult part is knowing which phrasal verb to use and when to use it. Simply memorising long lists isn't enough. You need to understand how phrasal verbs work in real conversations.

In my English lessons, I help students build their vocabulary and use phrasal verbs naturally through conversation and practical examples.

If you want to move beyond textbook English and sound more natural and confident when speaking, book a lesson with me and let's work on it together.
